IIT Delhi BTech Admission 2024 is expected to start in June- July 2024. The institute offers a 4-year long BTech program as its flagship course under 14 different specializations in 10 departments. Admission to this program is completely based on the JEE Advanced scores followed by the JoSAA counselling. JEE Advanced 2024 Exam dates have been announced and the exam will be conducted on May 26, 2024. IIT Delhi BTech Admission Process
IIT Delhi admission to the BTech program is determined by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main and Advanced). Given below are the basic eligibility requirements to be followed:
- Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 with PCM subjects.
- Must have secured a minimum 75% score
- 10% relaxation for SC/ST students
- For a maximum of six months or one semester, students enrolled in an engineering or technology program at an accredited institution or university in India or outside may be considered for a visiting studentship at IIT Delhi.
- Final selections are based on JEE Advanced Score / Cutoff and the IIT Delhi seat allocation is done as per JoSAA Counselling.

Admission criteria for IIT Delhi BTech program include JEE Advanced, and JoSAA counselling. Candidates scoring a rank in JEE Advanced exam become eligible to participate in the JoSAA counselling. B.Tech admissions in IITs are based on JEE Advanced exam scores. Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the JEE Main examination are eligible to appear for the respected examination. Those who have secured the minimum cutoff marks and are ranked under 2.5 lakh can appear for JEE Advanced.
IIT Delhi B.Tech Placements
The IIT Delhi Placement 2023 final report is yet to be released. During IIT Delhi placements 2023, the college has received 1300 offers including 260 PPOs where 1150 students are uniquely selected. The highest package was INR 4 crore per annum. IIT Delhi B.Tech Cutoff
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi accepts JEE Advanced scores for admission to BTech programs. Candidates who pass the JEE Main exam must also appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam, followed by the Counselling rounds as a final selection process for all the IITs. IIT Delhi B.Tech Scholarship
IIT Delhi offers scholarships and financial assistance to B.Tech students based on eligibility and merit. Given below are some of the scholarships offered to the students:
- Institute Free Studentship UG: Every year, IIT Delhi offers Free studentship to 10% of students based on mean alone.
- Institute Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship: Merit-cum-means scholarships are available to BTech students with a CGPA of at least 6 and a family income of no more than INR 4,50,000 annually. These scholarships offer a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of INR 1000 to no more than 25% of the students. 10% more students who fit the income requirement receive tuition reimbursement. All students who fall within the SC, ST, or PwD categories are exempt from paying the tuition.
- Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates: IIT Delhi offers merit prizes and certificates to the top 7% of B.Tech students of each semester till the 8th semester. The prize amount is INR 2500.
- Donor Scholarships: Donor-supported MCM scholarships are offered to students who must pay the entire tuition cost and have a family income of less than 9 LPA. JEE (Advanced) rank is used to select students, and maintaining a CGPA of at least 7 at the end of each academic year is required for continuing. The scholarship amount of Rs 1 Lakh per annum covers half the tuition fee and the award is for 4 yrs only.
- Scholarship provision for SC/ST students: SC/ST students can apply for this scholarship. It provides an exemption of tuition fees to such candidates.
