IIT Roorkee is an autonomous technical and research University located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. Established in 1847 as Thomason College of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee is Asia’s oldest technical university. IIT Roorkee Admission 2024
IIT Roorkee offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs with various specializations. IIT Roorkee B.Tech admission is based on the JEE Advanced score followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates must qualify for the GATE and IIT JAM scores for M.Tech and M.Sc admission. Further, IIT Roorkee offers an MBA program, and the admission is based on marks in CAT and the selection will be based on personal interviews. IIT Roorkee also offers Ph.D. admissions based on UGC NET and personal interviews.

IIT Roorkee Placements 2024 Phase 1 has concluded. The US-based software company Databricks made an offer of about ₹2.05 crore at IIT Roorkee for an international role. As per the media reports, students received 802 offers from 172 recruiters within the initial 15 days. Till now, IIT Roorkee has already received 23 international offers. The notable recruiters in the placements were Accenture Japan, American Express, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm India etc.
